Babyshop is a leading global ecommerce retailer based in Sweden. Our workforce consists of around 30 employees, dedicated to delivering high-quality baby and children's products. The Babyshop Group includes the online sites Babyshop.com, Lekmer.se, Alexandalexa.com, and Melijoe.com. Our product assortment includes baby and children's clothes, shoes, toys, strollers, car seats, maternity clothes, and accessories.

Our products are sent from an advanced automated warehouse solution featuring 130,000 boxes and 120 robots, all powered by renewable energy since June 2020.

The Babyshop Group was founded in 2006 and is minority-owned by Verdane funds.

Do you want to work in a role that combines structure, analysis, and collaboration? We are now looking for a Purchasing Coordinator who will become a key link between purchasing, suppliers, and internal functions.

About the role

As Purchasing Coordinator, you'll work closely with our buyers and help ensure that the entire purchasing process runs efficiently — from order placement to delivery. You'll drive coordination, follow up on processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Examples of responsibilities

  • Coordinate the purchasing process together with buyers.
  • Place and follow up on purchase orders.
  • Ensure deliveries happen according to plan.
  • Monitor supplier performance and handle deviations.
  • Work with article and master data.
  • Collaborate with logistics, customer service, and finance.
  • Produce reports and analyses that support the purchasing team.
  • Participate in improvement projects and develop ways of working.

We're looking for someone who

  • Has experience in purchasing, supply chain, or similar.
  • Is analytical and structured.
  • Thrives in a coordinating role with many points of contact.
  • Has strong systems proficiency, ideally with ERP systems and Excel.
  • Communicates fluently in Swedish and English.

Babyshop Group is a leading global retailer within premium children’s fashion and lifestyle. Kuling is the groups own outerwear brand designed for adventurous kids,  combining Scandinavian design with durability, comfort, and sustainability. We are now looking for a structured and proactive Buying Assistant to join our growing team and support the development and sourcing of high-quality products for families across Europe.

About the role

As a Purchasing Assistant for primarily the  Kuling brand, you will play a key part in our product development and sourcing process. You will work closely with product managers, pattern makers, CSR department and international suppliers to secure accurate samples, on-time deliveries, and smooth administrative processes from concept to final production.

This role suits someone who enjoys a mix of product handling, supplier communication, and administrative structure and who has a genuine interest in textiles and children’s outerwear.

You will report to the Head of Proprietary Brands and be part of the Kuling product team within Babyshop Group.


Key Responsibilities

  • Measure and review samples, lab dips, strike-offs, and trims to ensure they match our specifications

  • Manage daily communication and follow-ups with international factories and suppliers

  • Update, maintain, and adjust tech packs, including sketches, labels, packaging and manuals

  • Handle order administration, master data, and item creation in our systems

  • Support the sample approval process and track lead times across development stages

  • Follow up on certificates, sustainability documentation, and inspection reports together with our CSR manager

  • Monitor key KPIs such as on-time delivery, sample approval timelines, and cost deviations

  • Assist with general product development tasks to support the sourcing and design teams


Qualifications

  • Educational background in textiles, garment technology, product development or similar

  • Skilled in Excel (data handling, formulas, structure)

  • Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and ability to work with simple sketches, tech packs and update labels

  • Experience working with ERP or PDM/PLM systems is an advantage

  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple timelines and tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable working with international suppliers

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Chinese is a plus
